Ather Tirmizi 

National Director

Ather Tirmizi currently serves as the Executive Director of the American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee. Since joining APPAC in its infancy days, Ather Tirmizi has taken the organization from operating just in New York to now operational in New Jersey, California, Texas, and Nevada. The core focus of APPAC is to create resources and tools for Pakistani Americans to fully participate in the complete civic process, which includes getting out the vote, education and training, and fighting for policy and legislation that creates an equal and just society. Prior to working for APPAC, Ather worked for the NYS Assembly Serving as the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Majority Leader of the New York State Assembly. He served in that position for several years, having the distinct honor of being the only Muslim, as well as the only Pakistani Chief of Staff, in the NY State Assembly or the NY State Senate.

Imtiaz rahi

National Outreach Director 

Imtiaz Rahi is a seasoned construction professional with 29+ years of experience in construction and inspections. Rahi is seasoned in community service and political activism and has extensive experience in building the profile of the Muslim American community and its contributions to civil society on a national level. Imtiaz enjoys organizing grassroots campaigns and mentoring youth through his community and organizational involvement in the greater Dallas area. Currently, Imtiaz serves as the President of the American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee, Texas Chapter.

Mohammad Malik Hayat is an accomplished businessman residing in the Dallas metroplex for the past ten years. Malik brings a wealth of experience in business, non-profit organizations, and politics. Malik has worked in the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and America. He has volunteered in various non-profit organizations. For the past three years, he has been serving as the Texas State Board of Directors for the American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee. His focus is to encourage Pakistani Americans and Pakistani American youth, specifically, to take an active part in civic engagement. He has managed several city council level campaigns in the City of Irving. Proud to call USA home for over three decades.

Mohmmad hayat

 Director, National Strategy

Aisha U-Kiu is an attorney and social entrepreneur who provides legal and compliance staffing and consulting solutions to law firms and corporations in her current role as a Division Director for Robert Half Legal. She serves on the board of directors for APPAC's Texas chapter, is a founder of the American Muslim Professionals of Dallas, a community networking and service organization, and is an active member of the DFW Muslim Bar Association. Aisha enjoys organizing grassroots campaigns and mentoring youth through her community and organizational involvement. Aisha received her Bachelor's in Political Science and International Studies from Southern Methodist University. She earned her J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2012.
